Questions PMs actually ask.

Is the free plan really free forever?
Yes. The Personal and Student plans have no time limit and no credit card required to sign up. They're not trials — they're permanent free tiers with reasonable limits.
What counts as "commercial use" for the Student plan?
Any project where you or your organisation earns revenue. The $10,000 / year limit applies to your organisation's total annual revenue. If you cross it, you're expected to upgrade to Organization — we trust you to be honest about it.
How does the per-user pricing work?
The Organization plan is billed per active user per month. You can add or remove users at any time — billing adjusts at the start of the next cycle. Inactive users are not billed.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately — you'll be pro-rated for the remainder of the current cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Can I export my data if I leave?
All your project data — tasks, risks, budget, WBS, stakeholders — is yours, and we'll make it available for export in CSV or JSON. Self-serve export ships in Phase 2; until then, request an export from support and we'll send it within 2 business days.
Is VanillaPM aligned with PMBOK?
Yes. Every module maps to the PMBOK 7th edition process groups — Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing. The platform is designed to support the full PM lifecycle without forcing rigidity where it doesn't belong.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card payments — Visa, Mastercard, Amex — for Organization plans. Invoice billing available for Enterprise. All payments are processed securely; we never see or store your card details.
